Google has launched a new feature in its search engine that allows users to check the pronunciation of unfamiliar words, with the help of machine learning technology.

The mechanism of the new feature is based on showing a guide to help users to pronounce the word they want to know how to pronounce it in the search engine, after typing the desired word will appear at the top, then choose the tone, and then write the word phonetically, then asked the user to pronounce it, and if the monitoring system intelligence  Artificial pronunciation error, it will guide the user to the wrong position and the correct way of correction, the user can retry until he succeeds in the pronunciation of the word.

Google launches new features that turn its search engine into a language instructor

Google said, “For example, if you practice how to pronounce asterisk, speech recognition technology analyzes how you say a word and then, it realizes that the last rict is spoken instead of uhsk.”  “Next time, you will receive comments on how to improve pronunciation,” the company added.

Although the feature is available as of today, Google cautions that it is still "beta" and is available only on mobile phone initially.  The new guidelines also work with US English words only.  However, the company promised to support Spanish-spoken words soon.

Google is also working to improve word translations and definitions with visual tags.  So if the user is trying to translate the word naranja from Spanish to English - for example - he will also see images of oranges with the translated word.  If it looks for the meaning of the word seal, it will see images of seals, seals, and all that is called seal.

Google says: These image translations will initially work only in English and for the types of words that are easily visible: such as names, but also plans to expand the types of words in the future.

Both features are thought to appear to be useful additions to Google's range of language skills, turning the search engine into a language instructor that helps users easily find what they want.  Through machine learning - the backbone of the new features - these are expected to improve in the future.
