Google supports Search AR depth detection feature

In early December, Google announced support for features that show the depth of AR technology for phones that support ARCore.

With a single RGB camera, a new ARCore Depth API can improve the depth of the motion algorithm. It maps deep maps by "taking multiple photos from different angles and comparing them with every pixel when moving the cell phone to grade". This, in turn, provides a ban, meaning that digital objects can appear before or after objects in the real world.

When this function is activated, a circular icon is displayed in the upper right corner. When you click the icon, two options appear to enable and disable merging of objects.

To demonstrate how the new functionality works, Google has published an augmented reality cat image template that is displayed when "hide objects" is selected as a buffer. When Object Blend On is selected, it appears in the background.

It should be noted that Google launched this feature in the Google Search service for Android smartphone users who support ARCore system, which amounts to about 200 million.
