Why does FBI need Apple help after deciphering the latest phones?

In 2016, Apple refused to comply with a court order to help the Ministry of Justice (DoJ) unlock the iPhone of a victim in San Bernardino, but the FBI finally unlocked the device without help from the company.

Bloomberg and Forbes reported that the FBI had managed to extract data from two of Apple's latest phones without Apple's assistance over the past year:

The first iPhone 11 was the Lev Parnas phone connected to Rudi Giuliani, who accused her of pressing Donald Trump, an American.

IPhone 11 Pro Max Baris Cush is accused of helping his convicted brother escape from the United States and mislead the police.

But even after victory in using third-party tools and services to secure Apple devices, Apple should continue to help unlock two new phones under U.S. law.  William Barr asked the company last week to assist investigators in accessing content, and activists used two iPhones during a shootout in December 2019 at the Pensacola Naval Air Force Base, Florida.

However, Apple rejected this again and made it clear in the statement that it does not want to compromise user privacy by doing what it calls (back doors) to disable its device unlock capabilities (if created) everyone can use and everything does user safety at risk.

It should be noted that the iPhone that will be used is not new models, but iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 5. (Lecturer at the University of California at Berkeley, Nicholas Weaver, who focuses on the protection of the iPhone) states that l is the old iPhone 5 and can be opened by Grayshift  .  And Cellebrite easily.

Grayshift is developing a $ 15,000 device to make and open calls.  Cellebrite, an Israeli company, has been reported to have assisted FBI and ICE agencies in accessing iPhone data in recent years.

Here's a question about the FBI's motives for helping Apple create back doors for their products.

The answer could be time and money, and in 2016 FBI Director James Comey found that the agency spent a million dollars opening a suspect's plane in the San Bernardino accident.  ,

In 2019, the FBI accessed Lev Parnas iPhone 11 content for nearly two months.  At the same time, the suspect's device may or may not contain useful evidence, so it may be necessary to open these phones for research or waste time.

But are these reasons enough to force Apple to break its commitment to customer privacy and security?  In addition to losing the main competitive advantage of its devices and services, Apple should also respond to requests from the U.S. government and position itself in a delicate position for technology companies.

A conflict may arise soon between Apple and the US government as Apple implicitly sues the Department of Justice to defend its use of encryption while the current US government is working with Congress to pass a law development law (delineation of public security and technical security).
