| Sony and Facebook withdraw from the largest gaming conference because of Corona |
Sony announced its withdrawal from the GDC Game Developers Conference, to be held in San Francisco, California next month, a few days after the company announced that it would leave the PAX East conference due to concerns over the Corona virus.
Sony isn't the only one to pull out of the GDC 2020 conference, followed by Facebook. A Facebook spokesman told GamesIndustry.biz: “To ensure the health and safety of our employees, development partners, and the GDC community, Facebook will not participate in this year's game developers due to the evolving public health risks associated with COVID 19.” We are still planning to share exciting online video ads Questions and answers, and we plan to hold GDC remote partner meetings in the coming weeks. ”
