Facebook launches a new dark design for all users

After months of gradual release, Facebook announced today (Friday) that it will begin to redesign the desktop social media version for users around the world.

The social media giant announced the design at the F8 2019 developer conference. The design has a dark mode, tab-based start screen and saved profile page.

You can activate the new Facebook theme by going to (Settings), then clicking on the option (Switch to the new Facebook theme) and then choosing between light and dark mode.

It should be noted that Facebook started testing new models for some users last October. After receiving positive comments, the company has now decided to publish it.

The Facebook design update came almost two years after the company promised to improve its apps after the complexity of its appearance a decade later. Therefore, the new design of the desktop version of Facebook simplifies the navigation between different tabs (like collections, markets and videos). These stories are also displayed at the top of the latest news page and are explained on the right side of the screen. The new design speeds up the creation of events, pages, groups and ads.
