YouTube introduces the "segregation" function to make navigation in long clips easier

YouTube announced the launch of its new video separation feature on Thursday, which uses the timestamp that creators add to their videos.

YouTube started testing this new feature in April last year to enable viewers to quickly and easily navigate to the desired part of the video or review a portion of the video.

Now all users can use video separation on desktop, Android and iOS mobile devices. When the content creator adds section information to the video’s description and displays the timestamp and title of each section on each line, the feature is automatically activated.

For the new feature, creators must add at least three time stamps of at least 10 seconds. To make it easier for viewers to move between lessons, YouTube added touch screen feeds to mobile devices to make them feel better when switching from one chapter to another.

YouTube said: This feature was very popular during the tests, so I decided to distribute it to all users. The company added that the post does not affect the video recommendations.
