India blocks more Chinese apps

India banned more Chinese applications after the Indian government banned 59 Chinese companies from developing applications in the second half of last month because it posed a threat to national security.

This includes the new Chinese app (Cam Scanner Advance) banned. Due to the growing geopolitical tensions between the two Asian giants, New Delhi is expected to issue an official statement soon.

India's 59 app ban affects TikTok, WeChat, ShareIt and UC Browser, which was considered the latest confrontation between the two most populous countries in the world at the end of last month.

Shortly after the decision was issued in a press release, the government ordered the telecommunications company to deny access to all these related applications and websites.

Google and Apple are also required to remove blocked apps from app stores in the countries.

According to one of the leading mobile statisticians, the combination of (TikTok), (Club Factory), (UC Browser) and other applications will have over 500 million monthly active users as of May.

Today, the Indian government is considering restricting access to many Chinese applications and services.

India has revealed violations of national security and user privacy. This indicates that censorship is becoming more stringent and may ban more Chinese Internet companies in the country.
