Samsung phones now support Android apps on Windows 10

At the beginning of August this year, Microsoft released an update to its phone app that allows Windows 10 users to run Android apps alongside Windows apps on their home PC.

This update and feature are now available for select Samsung phones: Galaxy S9, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S20. Microsoft has promised to support more Android phones as soon as possible, but has not indicated whether these devices are from Samsung or any other company.

This new feature is based on the mirroring feature already provided by the Your Phone app, as users can access the app's list of Android apps and run them from their computer. These applications run in a separate window from the mobile application.

With the new Your Phone app, Windows 10 users can also multitask with other Windows apps by clicking Alt + Tab keyboard shortcut. Also, these applications can be installed in the Windows 10 system tray or from the Start menu. With the ability to launch applications directly from the Phone app, users can now install Android applications in the system tray and run them like normal Windows applications.

We believe that a large part of the new "Your Phone" app experience means running multiple Android apps together.

Not all Android apps will work properly due to the new features of your phone. Microsoft warns that some apps may not support working on other screens, resulting in a black screen. Some applications and games do not respond to the keyboard or the mouse.

Additionally, Microsoft today announced that support for Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer 11), Internet Explorer and Legacy Edge on Microsoft 365 will end next year.
