Samsung is used to releasing new Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds with the new Galaxy S devices.
A new report claims that Samsung is planning to launch a new Galaxy Buds Beyond headset that features Active ANC noise cancellation and an in-ear design at an upcoming Unpacked event.
Samsung is said to be preparing to host an upcoming Unpacked event in early January, during which Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S21 series that will support the S Pen for the first time.
It will be Samsung's second wireless headphones in less than six months when the company launched Galaxy Buds Live in August.
The Galaxy Buds Live series and Galaxy S20 Galaxy Buds + launched six months later.
These headphones use different designs and are the first Samsung in-ear headphones to support ANC active noise cancellation.
According to reports, the functionality of the new headphones is the same as the company's Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds + headphones designs.
The new headphones - Galaxy Buds Beyond - are said to be able to improve sound quality and offer better environmental modes.
Ambient Mode allows external sounds to be entered through headphones to help users better understand their surroundings.
In theory at least, the Galaxy Buds Beyond's active noise reduction should be better than the Galaxy Buds Live with its bean-shaped design.
This design effectively seals the ear canal, which basically blocks noise. By improving ANC's active noise cancellation feature, there could be major differences from the Galaxy Buds Live.
The South Korean company confirmed on March 29 that it had registered the Galaxy Buds Beyond trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the US Patent and Trademark Office. United States (USPTO).
The wireless headphones market is rapidly growing amid fierce competition and it appears that Samsung is keen to continue flooding the market with new and improved options.
