Due to Corona Apple has closed nearly 100 stores |
Due to the aura emptying, Apple has temporarily closed its 53 retail stores in California, as well as several others in the United States.
The company also closed stores in Mexico and Brazil, and all of those sites switched to a quick window pick service last week.
If you include stores that closed in Germany and the Netherlands last week, many of the closed stores have grown to nearly 100, so the company currently has roughly a fifth of the stores worldwide.
At the start of last week, Apple closed all 18 of its subsidiaries in Germany and the Netherlands again.
This is due to restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus and the worsening epidemic, forcing the company to close its stores during one of the busiest shopping weeks of the holiday season.
Apple announced the closure of all stores in California and Tennessee this weekend and opened more than a dozen stores in Los Angeles on December 18.
One day since the pandemic began, California has broken the record for most new cases of coronavirus.
Today the company is preparing to close 16 new stores in the UK, with the strictest policies being followed at 15 locations in London and 1 store in Wales.
Apple confirmed its essence in a statement: Given the current state of Coronavirus in some of the communities we serve, we will be temporarily closing stores in these areas.
We are temporarily closing but are currently receiving open online orders and scheduled in-store appointments for Genius On-Site Support.
Most locations open in the United States are limited to express in-store pick-up services for incoming online orders and Genius support. Online purchases and unsigned customers are not accepted on The Express.
The company took a similar action in June, closing about 32 stores due to an increase in coronavirus cases due to the May closure.
