JBuds Frames ... loudspeakers you attach to glasses

JLab has introduced a new Bluetooth audio device called JBuds Frames that can be connected to arm glasses or sunglasses.

JBuds frame is an open wireless speaker that does not block or cover your ears and allow you to hear your music and your surroundings at the same time.

The new audio device consists of two amplifiers that can be turned on and placed directly in front of your ears.

Speakers are part of the new trend in open wireless loudspeakers. Traditionally, these headphones have become the world of Bluetooth enabled sunglasses.

It retails at only $ 50, which is much less than Bose Frames and Amazon Echo Frames. It is in line with JLab's history of offering inexpensive headphones.

And unlike integrated solutions, we did not try to hide the fact that there are open speakers in the glasses.

JBuds frames come with a set of silicone caps to support different sizes of glasses.

In terms of sound, each unit houses a 16mm tweeter which, according to JLab, not everyone near can hear it.

The basic principle of open wireless speakers is that sound is played outside your ears but directed so that you can only hear it.

The new audio instrument is IPX4 waterproof, so it should be rainproof and contain buttons to control the volume, answer or reject calls, and change equalizer settings.

JLab says they can be used together or independently. Battery life can be set to more than eight hours of audio on a single charge, and one speaker can be used at a time to help preserve battery life.

Instead of plugging it into a charging case, a special cable is provided that splits into two magnetic charging points. JLab's JBuds framework is expected to be available in Spring 2021.
