| Hummer launches a new electric SUV |
Hummer offered an SUV on a 300-mile electric pickup and a suggested price of $ 110,595 for the first version.
General Motors (General Motors) produces electric Hummers under the GMC brand. General Motors said an electric SUV will go into production in early 2023.
The cheapest models will begin production at $ 90,000 in the spring of 2023, while the $ 80,000 will travel 250 miles in the spring of 2024.
The company has already announced that assembly of the electric minivan will begin in late 2021, starting with the more expensive models.
Priced at $ 90,000 and up, this SUV features the Crab Walk, which allows Hummer to spin all four wheels and drive diagonally at low speeds. The extraction mode feature uses the air suspension to raise the entire vehicle up to 6 inches to avoid large obstacles.
It also has a 13.4-inch touchscreen for the center console and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.
Due to the global economic crisis and soaring fuel prices, GM discontinued the Hummer brand in 2010.
The company announced last year that the brand was reborn as a battery-powered 1,000 hp pickup truck that could be raised and lowered 6 inches or even driven diagonally.
Hummer is the cornerstone of General Motors (GM) $ 27 billion investment in electric vehicles, including the launch of 30 new cars by 2025.
The Hummer will be one of the first cars to be built with GM's new modular battery-powered Ultium platform, which the company claims can deliver 50 to 200 kilowatts of power and travel 400 miles or more.
For small trucks, the Ultium has a fast charging capacity of 350 kW, equivalent to charging 100 miles in 10 minutes. The fast charging limit for an SUV is 300 kW.
These vehicles also feature GM's second-generation advanced driver assistance system, the Super Cruise, which enables hands-free driving on the highways.
