Titan Pocket: Smartphone for keyboard fans

The Unihertz team announced Titan Pocket, a new Android phone launched with crowdfunding website Kickstarter.

According to the Unihertz team, it is the smallest QWERTY smartphone running Android 11.

The team released the Jelly and Titan mini phones in 2019, and the team believes that different types of smartphones should be available for all types of people.

This is why it is committed to developing unique smartphones for ethnic minorities and wants people to have more options.

Titan Pocket maintains its durable style, but since it has a 3.1-inch LCD, the size is a lot more manageable.

The screen is slightly smaller than that of the BlackBerry Classic, although it has a similar resolution of 716 x 720 pixels, equivalent to a pixel density of 328 pixels per inch.

Of course, you can't see everything on a screen like this as the Gmail app can only display three emails at a time.

The keyboard keys are responsive and easy to see. Backlight is better than old Titan.

Titan Pocket can be used with the basic version of Android 11, for which the form factor cannot be customized much, or with the same kind of keyboard shortcuts that BlackBerry users are accustomed to.

For example, if you press and hold the letter key on the home screen, it will enter Google search.

As with the larger Titan, there are plenty of examples to show that Android apps may not know how to handle square screens.

The Titan Pocket is equipped with a MediaTek P70 processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. Other functions include the microSD card slot, infrared emitter and headphone jack.

There is also a 4000 mAh battery thanks to the 16.8mm design and the phone has a single 16MP camera.

The camera phone may be inferior to most other phones on the outside, but the physical keyboard is better than all other phones on the outside as it is a dedicated and low-cost device.

Kickstarter starts at $ 159 and the highest is $ 219. Despite the obvious limitations, this is a viable option for a second device.
