| Twitter is testing Super Follows and Paid Spaces |
Twitter is entering the next phase of its creator monetization business, and users can now apply to test the upcoming Super Follow and Ticketed Spaces options.
US users can apply for each program individually through the Twitter mobile app.
Super Follows is limited to iOS, while Ticketed Spaces is available for iOS and Android.
Twitter is selecting a small group of users to test the new monetization features announced earlier this year.
Super Follows allows users to charge $2.99, $4.99 or $9.99 per month to access exclusive content.
Ticketed Spaces let you charge anywhere from $1 to $999 to access the Twitter Social Audio Room and set additional features like room restrictions.
Users can verify that they are eligible to apply by selecting the new monetization option in the mobile app sidebar.
After iOS and Android charged commissions on in-app purchases, test group participants initially kept 97% of the money they earned through Ticketed Spaces or Super Follows.

If the total user income is $50,000 on both platforms, Twitter will increase their commission from 3% to 20%.
Product Manager Esther Crawford wrote on Twitter: "We want to make sure that ambitious voices can make money, so right from the start, they were entitled to a bigger stake.
"Earning over $50,000 with Ticketed Spaces and Super Follows shows you can use these features and help you be successful," she added.
Twitter's commission is 20% lower than the commissions of some subscription platforms. Amazon's Twitch video service charges a 50% commission on a subscription. YouTube charges 30% of the subscription fee.
But this commission is much higher than Substack's 10% commission for newsletters. It's also above the base rate of 5% from Patreon, which is a membership platform.
Although Facebook launched the subscription service in 2018, it has announced that it will not collect any commission until 2023.
