Samsung wants to lower the price of foldable phones

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Lite along with the Galaxy Flip Z 3 5G and Galaxy Z Fold 3 in August.

If foldable smartphones were too expensive for you in the past, this model might change that.

Samsung previously promised to drop the price of foldable smartphones in 2021 to make them easier to use, and the Lite version could help keep that promise.

In 2020, Tae Moon Roh, Director and President of Mobile Communications, wrote, “We are committed to staying at the forefront of advanced cellular technology and expanding the range of foldable products to make access to this leading category easier for everyone.

The suggestion that foldable smartphones are getting cheaper and cheaper for regular buyers is puzzling.

All foldable smartphones cost over $1,000, and early models are close to $2,000. This pushes it into a price range that beats most flagship phones.

The light version, which can cost less than a thousand dollars, will add attractiveness to the industry and encourage the development of new classes.

Samsung wants to achieve this goal

Another rumor was that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Lite may have been canceled due to the persistent shortage of global chips. Hence, it is uncertain whether this phone could arrive in August.

It doesn't look like Samsung is releasing a new Galaxy Note phone in 2021. Traditionally, Samsung will announce this news at an event at the end of the summer. The company will focus on foldable smartphones this year.

More importantly, due to the increasing volume of mobile phones, there has been talk of demand for the Galaxy Note class. Including Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Both offer large screens and powerful specifications.

Galaxy S21 Ultra is also compatible with the S Pen. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 should also be equipped with an S Pen. As a result, the Galaxy Note series' unique stylus support is being realized in more mobile phones.
