Wireless magnetic charging for Android
Wireless magnetic charging for Android

Realme has mocked a new device called Realme Flash, which it said could be the first Android phone to use magnetic wireless charging.

Although the company is competing with Apple's MagSafe on the iPhone 12 series, Realme has taken several different approaches to the initial hardware.

According to GSMArena, Realme is preparing to launch a magnetic wireless charger called MagDart, which is much larger than Apple's MagSafe tablet.

MagSafe is said to be able to charge over 15W making it the world's fastest magnetic charger. However, the price is that the device is thicker and requires an active fan.

MagDart is a thick cube with holes in the back that can be magnetically attached to the back of the phone to charge the phone.

The connection between the charger and the phone is wireless. However, the MagDart charger requires a USB Type-C port.

Realme is also developing a thinner MagDart charger that looks very similar to Apple's MagSafe tablet, according to a report from Gizmochina last week.

Realme brings wireless magnetic charging

According to GSMArena, Realme Flash is a flagship phone that comes with a Snapdragon 888 processor.

A mobile phone leak shows that at least one model has 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

Realme Flash has a curved screen with a hole in the upper left corner. There is a triple camera on the back.

The phone runs Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 interface. Sources close to Realme's plan have announced that it may be announced next week.

Realme has never built wireless charging into their phones before. However, they do sell Qi wireless chargers that can be used with accessories like earplugs.

Oppo's sister brand has been using this technology for many years. This happens after paying attention to the VOOC wired fast charging system, which is also used as Dash charging by many OnePlus phones.
