Apple announced the release of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 on September 20. The company announced a new free OS update during WWDC 2021 in early June and made a public beta available in the summer.
The new versions of iOS and iPadOS offer many features. The title includes notification changes, such as adding a notification summary, creating a focus mode for different lists of apps, the ability to send notifications to the user at different times of the day, and improvements to FaceTime including inviting Android and Windows users to first invoke the browser and turn on New Look .

The new watchOS also got a new user interface to take advantage of the Apple Watch Series 7's larger display and new workout types for Pilates and Tai Chi (and other updates from Apple Fitness Plus).
