Apple announced the release of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 on September 20. The company announced a new free OS update during WWDC 2021 in early June and made a public beta available in the summer.

The new versions of iOS and iPadOS offer many features. The title includes notification changes, such as adding a notification summary, creating a focus mode for different lists of apps, the ability to send notifications to the user at different times of the day, and improvements to FaceTime including inviting Android and Windows users to first invoke the browser and turn on New Look .

On the iPad side, iPadOS 15 brings iOS 14 features, such as app libraries, resizable widgets, and other previously mentioned additions that the company is planning for iOS 15.

As part of the update, the company has adapted how multitasking works. With a new split screen menu and shelf for organizing apps that have separate windows, like: b. Safari.

Some iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 functions will take longer. Hence, with SharePlay, due for release later this fall, the company said the feature can share video and audio directly over FaceTime calls.

On September 20, the company will also launch watchOS 8, the next version of the smartwatch operating system. The company first released a new free update during WWDC 2021. I tested it in a public beta this summer on iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and macOS Monterey.

Additionally, watchOS 8 is a moderate change from the Apple Watch. But it still has some great additional features.

The company is adding support for new features in iOS 15. You can more precisely control app notifications like focus mode, keys, and new credentials in Apple Wallet.

The new watchOS also got a new user interface to take advantage of the Apple Watch Series 7's larger display and new workout types for Pilates and Tai Chi (and other updates from Apple Fitness Plus).

In addition, the Apple Watch also received the Advanced Mindfulness app, which combines the ancient function of breathing with a new type of relaxation.
