Google has announced plans to expand the availability of work profile tools to unmanaged users with Google Workspace accounts.

However, that is about to change, as Google has announced plans to roll out this feature to unmanaged Google Workspace devices in 2022.
This means that you do not have to rely on your employer to do them on your device.
Previously, the company said, the profile tool could only be used on managed devices. But now we plan to offer the same benefits as the Business Profile Tool to users who don't use Business Identity Manager.
In this way, anyone who uses Android for business purposes can separate work applications and personal applications in one interface and close all work related applications with just one click.
The work profile tool will be available to unmanaged Google Workspace users on Android starting next year and will be expanded to other identity providers in the near future to improve security for users when accessing corporate content.
The company wants to enable users to authenticate in a custom tab system. This replaces WebView, making the employee experience faster and providing service providers with access to more information about phone security.
Google makes it easy for you to separate work and personal life
Android 12 adds a new profile type called Clone, which can support cloning of apps on devices with Android 12 and above.
With the new clone profile, users can run three instances of the same application at the same time.
The company also recently added Android Auto to support the work profile tool on Android. This allows direct access to business applications from the Android Auto dashboard without having to touch the phone.
