Netflix games are available on iPhone and iPad

Netflix has introduced a new gaming service for all Android users, but now it's officially available for iOS.

The Service allows users to access restricted mobile games without ads or in-app purchases.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gorman confirmed on Twitter that these five games can be downloaded separately from the App Store.

Games include Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Teeter (Up), and Card Blast.

The recently announced Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, priced at $10 on Nintendo Switch and PC, is free for console subscribers.

There have been some concerns about rolling out the gaming platform through iOS, particularly because Apple's App Store policy holds back gaming platforms and other services.

This policy generally prevents third-party apps from serving as app store fronts.

According to a tweet from the Netflix Geeked Twitter account, the company could reveal how it will change its main app and whether it acts as an all-in-one gaming hub, like Android, where users can download the game. . Google Play Store.

Due to Apple's App Store limitations, other cloud gaming platforms like Microsoft's xCloud, Nvidia's Geforce Now, Google's Stadia, and Facebook Gaming are struggling to gain a foothold in iOS.

Netflix games use Apple's in-app payment system

All of these platforms are trying to bypass Apple's guidelines by releasing them as web applications. But this obviously does not provide the best gaming experience.

However, Netflix can have some exceptions. In an internal email leaked in May. With third-party apps offering in-app purchases and various rewards, Apple has made several potential compromises.

Netflix is said to be hoping to continue selling subscription services on its apps in order to get a share of it. If Apple is willing to treat the deal as a special case, it can do so now.

Apparently, Google treats Netflix the same way. Lawyers claim that 30% of the standard commissions Google receives on in-app purchases are charged by Netflix.

Gorman noted that players who play the Netflix Games app on their own without an account must register on the platform via Apple's in-app platform.

When someone does this, Apple charges a commission of 30% of their payments for the first year, and then 15% of each subsequent payment.

In its main application, Netflix does not send new customers through the Apple payment system. But this arrangement may be enough to get you Netflix games on iOS.
