Apple may reveal new external displays at its March 8 event

Apple was up in the air over what we could see at the Peek Performance event, but new reports suggest the Cupertino-based company could debut a new external display at the event, dubbed the Apple Studio.

The iPhone SE 3, also known as iPhone SE (2022) or iPhone SE 5G, is also expected to come in premium colors and three different storage options.

Bloomberg's Mark Gorman wrote in his Power On newsletter that the next-generation external display could be the fourth product to be unveiled at Apple's event this week, along with the new iPhone SE 3, iPad Air and at least one Mac.

He said the company had finished work on the offshore offer a few months ago, but that had not yet been announced. It was supposed to launch shortly after the launch of the MacBook Pro last year.

At WWDC in June 2019, Apple introduced its latest external monitor, the Pro Display XDR.

The monitor that is due to launch tomorrow is called the Apple Studio Display. It is said to be 7K resolution and may include an A13 chip to handle some processing tasks natively.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who forecast Apple's product plans, believes the company is preparing a new 27-inch external display without a small LED panel.

Analysts are also calling the display an affordable option, suggesting that it may be more affordable than the 6K Pro Display XDR, which debuted in 2019 for $4,999.

Kuo also expects the company to unveil a new Mac mini this year, which we may see at the same upcoming event. The analyst also expects the launch of new Mac Pro and iMac Pro models next year.

Gorman also believes that the new Mac mini could make its debut at Apple's event this year.

The event also initially saw speculation about the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, although new expectations suggest we may have to wait a while to see those upgrades.

Gorman suggested launching a new 13-inch MacBook Pro or iMac in the first half. Gorman said Apple could also preview a new Mac Pro or iMac Pro at this week's event.

As for the iPhone SE 3, Kuo expects the new model to come in 64, 128, or 256GB storage options and come in white, black, and red colors.

It also confirms some previous reports that the new iPhone SE will have a similar design to the current model.

In addition, Apple is expected to start mass production of the iPhone SE 3 in March. Between 25 and 30 million units could be delivered by 2022.

Previous reports indicate that the iPhone SE 3 will have a faster A15 Bionic chip, 5G support, and an improved camera experience.

There are also rumors that the company is preparing to launch a new iPad Air. It could look like the iPad Air (5th generation), with features like the A15 chip, optional 5G support, and the FaceTime camera taking center stage. It could also feature a design similar to what we saw in 2020.
