Motorola Moto G56 Rears Its Head with Launch Date Officially Revealed

After weeks of speculation and premature leaks, Motorola has finally pulled back the curtain on its upcoming budget contender: the Moto G56 5G. The smartphone, which accidentally debuted early on Motorola’s Slovakian website earlier this week, will officially launch on June 5, 2025, according to the now-live product page.

The slip-up, first spotted by Dutch tech outlet NieuweMobiel, briefly exposed the G56’s design and specifications before Motorola swiftly pulled the listing. As reported by GSM Arena, the accidental reveal confirmed key specs: a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, and a hefty 5,000mAh battery. Photography enthusiasts get a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP main lens, paired with a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP front shooter.

Motorola’s official Slovak product page now showcases the device in all its glory, highlighting a sleek, water-repellent design and Android 14 out-of-the-box. The G56 slots into the brand’s popular budget lineup, promising 5G connectivity at an accessible price point—likely under €250.

Interestingly, the G56 isn’t Motorola’s only upcoming release. Leaked renders of the affordable Motorola Edge 2025 recently surfaced, hinting at a parallel launch strategy. As detailed by GSMGoTech, the Edge 2025 will target mid-range buyers with premium features like a 144Hz display and 68W fast charging.

With the Moto G56 now officially teased, pre-orders are expected to open imminently via retailers like Amazon. If early specs are any indication, Motorola’s latest could be a formidable player in the budget 5G arena—balancing performance, battery life, and camera capabilities without breaking the bank.

Stay tuned for hands-on impressions post-launch!
