(Beijing, May 2025) — Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, the 15S Pro, has stunned industry watchers by outperforming Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in early benchmark tests. According to leaked results shared by tech analyst Max Winebach, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered device achieved a 7% higher multi-core score than its Apple rival, thanks largely to Xiaomi’s proprietary "Xring O1" cooling architecture.
The benchmark data, published on X (formerly Twitter), reveals the 15S Pro hit 12,450 points in Geekbench 6’s multi-core test—surpassing the A18 Pro-equipped iPhone 16 Pro Max’s 11,630. Thermal efficiency appears to be Xiaomi’s secret weapon: the Xring O1 system uses vapor-chamber layering and graphene composites to dissipate heat 40% faster than conventional designs. This prevents throttling during sustained loads, allowing the chip to maintain peak speeds longer.
Notably, Xring O1 isn’t entirely new. Xiaomi first debuted the tech in its recently launched Pad 7 Ultra tablet, where reviewers praised its ability to handle intensive gaming sessions without frame drops. Scaling it down for smartphones, however, posed engineering hurdles—issues Xiaomi’s R&D team reportedly resolved using nano-scale copper alloys.
The timing couldn’t be better. Xiaomi just confirmed the imminent global launch of its "disruptive" flagship lineup, with insiders hinting at a July event. The 15S Pro is expected to feature a 6.81-inch LTPO OLED display, a 5,800mAh silicon-carbon battery, and Leica-tuned quad cameras. Pricing remains unconfirmed, but leaks suggest it’ll undercut the iPhone 16 Pro Max by at least $200.
Industry analysts caution that real-world performance may vary, but early signs point to a seismic shift. "Apple’s A-series chips have dominated mobile benchmarks for years," says TechInsights’ Mira Chen. "If Xiaomi sustains this lead, it could reshape premium smartphone dynamics—especially in markets like Europe and Southeast Asia."
For now, eager fans can explore Xiaomi’s current-gen devices, including the acclaimed 14 Ultra on Amazon. But all eyes are on the 15S Pro: if Xiaomi delivers on these leaks, Apple’s autumn iPhone launch might face unprecedented pressure.
