The company has officially apologized and outlined a compensation package for those impacted by the "purchase to play" bug that prevented access at launch. The gesture includes a bundle of valuable boosters and, more significantly, a full seasonal Battle Pass.

What Went Wrong on Launch Day?

The issue, which began as players flooded the servers on October 10, was traced to a critical bug within the EA app's digital rights management. Dubbed the "purchase to play" bug, it incorrectly locked out players who had legitimately bought the game, prompting them to purchase non-existent DLC to access either the multiplayer or single-player campaign modes.
