PlayStation Unveils Stunning Genshin Impact Limited Edition DualSense Controller

The DualSense Wireless Controller - Genshin Impact Limited Edition won't start shipping until late February in some regions.

In a year already packed with special edition releases, PlayStation is capping things off with one of its most visually striking designs yet. The company has just announced the DualSense Wireless Controller – Genshin Impact Limited Edition, a collaboration with HoYoverse that brings the beloved open-world adventure to your fingertips.

The announcement comes just ahead of the debut of Genshin Impact Version 4.3, "Luna III," on PlayStation 5, making it a perfect collectible for fans of the game.

A Design Fit for Teyvat

This isn't just a simple color swap. PlayStation and HoYoverse have crafted a controller that feels pulled directly from the game's ethereal world. The controller features a pristine white faceplate that serves as a canvas for detailed emblems of the Traveler Twins, Aether and Lumine, along with their ever-present guide, Paimon.

The lower half of the controller introduces a vibrant, mossy green that covers the thumbsticks, triggers (L2/R2), and shoulder buttons (L1/R1). Accents of gold are sparingly and elegantly used to highlight the twin emblems and the iconic symbols on the face buttons, creating a luxurious and cohesive look. It's a design that manages to be both bold and refined, instantly standing out as one of PlayStation's better-executed themed controllers.

Pricing, Pre-Order Dates, and a Long Wait

The Genshin Impact Limited Edition DualSense will be priced at $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480. Mark your calendars: pre-orders will go live on December 11 exclusively via the PlayStation Direct website and select retailers.

However, fans will need to arm themselves with patience. Availability varies significantly by region:

  • Parts of Asia (including Japan): January 21
  • North America, Central & South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand: February 25

The Growing Trend of the "Long Wait"

This extended release schedule seems to be an emerging trend for coveted gaming peripherals. Recently, the announced Classic Grey 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller also won't be shipping until January 30, 2026. For collectors, the wait is becoming part of the process.

If you're looking for a special edition controller you can get your hands on sooner, there are alternatives already on the market. For instance, the God of War 20th Anniversary DualSense controller, released in October, is currently available and often discounted. You can find it on Amazon for around $64, a significant saving from its $84.99 launch price.

Whether you're a dedicated Genshin Impact fan or a controller collector, this new Limited Edition DualSense is a beautiful piece of hardware. Just be prepared to wait a little longer for this particular adventure to begin.
