The wait is almost over for watch collectors and motorsport fans. Casio has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated Edifice-Honda collaboration timepiece, the ECB-2300HR-1A "Sospensione," is set for a global rollout. First unveiled in October 2025 and initially listed for a March 2026 release in Japan, this special edition hybrid watch is now gearing up for an international audience.

While the brand's Japanese online store points to March, a product page on the Casio international website suggests a potentially earlier launch window, marking it as a February 2026 release. An exact date and final list of recipient countries are still under wraps, but the confirmation of a worldwide release has set hearts racing. In Japan, the watch carries a retail price of ¥66,000 (approximately $421), though international pricing is yet to be announced.

This isn't just another chronograph; it's a rolling tribute to a legendary moment in racing history. The Edifice Sospensione celebrates the 60th anniversary of Honda's first Formula 1 victory, achieved by the RA272 at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix. Every detail is engineered for homage.

The watch immediately captures the eye with its Championship White bezel and leather strap, meticulously matched to the iconic livery of the victorious RA272. This is contrasted by a dynamic black dial punctuated with red accents, mirroring the car's aggressive spirit. The nods continue: a gold-toned "60" marker on the bezel marks the anniversary, the words "Veni, Vidi, Vici" (I came, I saw, I conquered) are engraved on the metal band loop, and perhaps the coolest detail of all—the blueprint of the RA272's engine is printed on the inner side of the strap.

For a closer look at every meticulously crafted detail, you can view the official specifications on the Casio Edifice product page here.

Underneath its historic skin, the ECB-2300HR is a modern powerhouse. As a hybrid timepiece, it seamlessly blends connected features with robust standalone functionality. It supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing pairing with a smartphone for tools like stopwatch data transfer and a handy phone finder function. It also offers World Time across 38 time zones with a simple home city swap.

Core features include a 1/100-second stopwatchcountdown timer, and daily alarms. True to Casio's engineering ethos, it's built to last, featuring Tough Solar charging that poweres the watch under any light and a solid 100-meter water resistance.

The Casio Edifice ECB-2300HR-1A is shaping up to be a must-have for collectors sitting at the intersection of horology and motorsport heritage. With its global release now confirmed, enthusiasts worldwide should keep their eyes on the starting grid this February.
