LAS VEGAS – CES 2025 is proving to be a bright spot for smart lighting enthusiasts. Govee, a leader in the connected home lighting space, has just unveiled three new products designed to push the boundaries of ambient intelligence. While two are significant upgrades to popular existing lines, the third is an entirely new category for the company: a ceiling light designed to authentically mimic the dynamic beauty of daylight.

In a strategic move deepening ecosystem integration, all three launches are in partnership with Samsung SmartThings, ensuring seamless control and automation within one of the world's most popular smart home platforms.

The Star: Govee Sky Ceiling Light – Bringing the Outdoors In

The most intriguing launch is the Govee Sky Ceiling Light. This isn't just another bright panel; it's engineered to simulate a slice of the sky. Featuring light beads arranged along its sides in addition to the main panel, it aims to "recreate clear-sky tones and soft skylight transitions."

The goal is profound, especially for interior rooms without windows: to combat the feeling of being in a box and provide a natural, circadian-rhythm-friendly light source. Govee says it has refined the white light spectrum to offer a more comfortable and natural ambiance, pushing out a impressive 5,200 lumens.

Meaningful Upgrades: Floor Lamp 3 & Ceiling Light Ultra

For fans of Govee's existing lineup, the upgrades are substantial.

Govee Floor Lamp 3: A Wider Spectrum of Light
Visually similar to its predecessor, the Floor Lamp 3 hides major tech upgrades under its sleek hood. The key advancement is Govee's new LuminBlend+ technology, which expands the color temperature range dramatically to 1,000K (warm, candlelight glow) to 10,000K (crisp, cool blue). This dwarfs the Floor Lamp 2's range of 2,200K-6,500K. It's also brighter, now hitting 1,900 lumens.

Govee Ceiling Light Ultra: Bigger and Brighter
As the name suggests, this is a more powerful variant of the popular ceiling light. It grows from 15 inches to 21 inches and delivers a blinding 5,000 lumens at 6,500K color temperature, a major jump from the Pro model's 4,300 lumens. It's built to be the primary, statement light source in a room.

The Brains Behind the Beauty: AI Lighting Bot 2.0 & DaySync

A common thread across all three products is the integration of Govee's upgraded AI Lighting Bot 2.0. This system allows the lights to do more than just obey commands; they can react to context in real-time and learn user behaviors over time.

Paired with this is DaySync, a feature that automatically adjusts brightness, color, and temperature throughout the day—warming up at sunset, cooling down at noon—to align with your natural rhythm. Notably, Govee states DaySync will be activated via a software update starting in April 2026.

Ecosystem and Availability

Embracing the open smart home, all three lights support Samsung SmartThingsAmazon AlexaGoogle Assistant, and the Matter connectivity standard. This means they can easily sync with other devices for routines—like turning on a gentle sunrise simulation when your SmartThings morning alarm goes off.

Govee has not yet announced pricing or specific availability dates for these new smart lights, but more information is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks following their CES debut.
