| MSI has shown off new Prestige-branded laptops at CES 2026 |
In a significant refresh of its creator-focused lineup, MSI has officially unveiled the Prestige 14 AI+ and Prestige 14 Flip AI+, expanding on the previously announced Prestige 13 AI+. These new models promise a substantial performance leap, headlined by Intel's next-generation Panther Lake processors, all wrapped in MSI's signature sleek, professional chassis.
Two Forms, One Premium Foundation
At their core, the new Prestige 14 AI+ and its convertible sibling, the Prestige 14 Flip AI+, are essentially the same powerhouse machine. The key differentiator is the hinge: the Flip model offers the versatility of a 360-degree convertible design for presentations, note-taking, or media consumption, while the standard clamshell AI+ caters to traditional laptop users. This gives creative professionals and power users a choice in how they interact with their device without compromising on core specs.
The Heart of the Matter: Next-Gen Panther Lake Processors
The most exciting news is under the hood. While the smaller Prestige 13 AI+ utilizes current-generation Intel Core Ultra processors, MSI is equipping the Prestige 14 AI+ series with up to a top-tier Intel Core Ultra X9 388H chip from the upcoming Panther Lake family. This aligns with earlier leaks suggesting these new Intel SKUs would be paired with an upgraded Arc B300 series integrated GPU, promising a notable boost in both CPU performance and AI-powered graphics capabilities for design, rendering, and light gaming.
For maximum performance, both configurations can be specced with up to a hefty 64 GB of LPDDR5x memory and 2 TB of PCIe Gen4 storage, ensuring smooth multitasking with massive files and projects.
A Stunning, Consistent Visual Experience
Visual fidelity is paramount for the Prestige series. Both the 14-inch models share the same brilliant 14-inch FHD+ (1920 x 1200) OLED touchscreen display. The panel boasts a wide 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, ensuring vibrant, accurate colors perfect for photo and video editing. The 16:10 aspect ratio also provides more vertical space for productivity.
Ports, Battery, and Notable Omissions
Connectivity is robust and identical across both models. You'll find:
- Two Thunderbolt 4 ports
- Two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports
- A full-size HDMI 2.1 port
- A 3.5mm combo audio jack
Interestingly, MSI has omitted a microSD card reader on both models, which may be a point of consideration for photographers who rely on that format.
Rounding out the specs are a 1080p webcam with Windows Hello support and a privacy shutter, future-proof Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, and a large 81 Wh battery aimed at all-day usage. Both laptops are impressively thin at 13.9mm, with the Flip model being slightly heavier (1.37 kg vs. 1.32 kg) due to its rotating hinge mechanism. A fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button provides quick and secure login.
Pricing, Availability, and a Nice Perk
MSI has provided an initial price for one configuration, giving us a anchor point. A Prestige 14 Flip AI+ model equipped with an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD will retail for $1,399. As a welcome bonus, each purchase will include a free MSI Nano Pen for the Flip model's touchscreen.
The laptops are slated to arrive later this year. Pricing and exact availability for other configurations, including the standard Prestige 14 AI+ and models with the top-tier X9 processor, are expected to be announced closer to launch. For creators seeking a potent blend of next-generation silicon, a stunning OLED display, and flexible form factors, MSI's new Prestige 14 AI+ series is shaping up to be a compelling contender.
