Casio’s new Baby-G BA-100PD watches

If you thought G-Shock's rugged little sibling couldn't get any more charming, think again. Casio has just unveiled three stunning new additions to its popular Baby-G BA-100 series in Japan, blending the line's signature toughness with a seriously sweet, pastel-infused aesthetic. Designed to be "highly practical and seriously functional," the new BA-110PD-2A, BA-110PD-4A, and BA-110PS-7A models are poised to be the next must-have accessory for the fashion-forward and functionally-minded.

A Lustrous, Playful Design That Packs a Punch

Immediately setting these models apart is their eye-catching finish. The BA-110PD variants feature a polarized resin bezel, case, and strap, creating a unique, lustrous sheen that changes subtly with the light. But the real darling details are the playful heart-shaped motifs: one adorning the hour hand and another serving as a metallic accent at the 3 o'clock position. It’s a touch of whimsy that maintains a cool, modern edge.

The colorways are pure confection. The BA-110PD-2A offers a dreamy, unified look with a soft blue face and matching blue strap. Its sibling, the BA-110PD-4A, goes full-on pretty in pink with the hue sweeping across the dial and band. For those wanting a bolder contrast, the BA-110PS-7A pairs a vibrant pink-purple dial with a transparent strap, offering a fresh, contemporary vibe.

You can explore the detailed specs and official imagery of the blue BA-110PD-2A directly on Casio's site here: Casio Japan or the International page.

Hybrid Tech for a Connected Life

Beneath its pretty face, the Baby-G BA-100 remains a technological workhorse. This hybrid model masterfully combines two analog hands with two digital displays and a digital indicator, offering immense functionality without clutter. Globetrotters will appreciate the World Time function, which allows for easy adjustment across 48 cities (with 12/24-hour format support). For daily utility, it's loaded with tools including a stopwatch, countdown timer, hourly time signals, and five independent daily alarms.

And true to its G-Shock DNA, it doesn’t sacrifice durability for style. The watch is shock-resistant and boasts a solid 100-meter water resistance rating, making it more than capable of handling daily adventures, from downpours to desk bumps. An LED backlight with afterglow ensures readability in any lighting condition.

Availability and Pricing

The new pastel Baby-G watches are currently launching in Japan with a price tag of ¥16,500 (approximately $105 USD). Casio’s international website lists all three variants as February 2026 releases, confirming a global rollout is on the horizon.

However, specific launch dates for key markets like the United States, Germany, and others have not yet been announced. Interested buyers outside Japan should keep an eye on official Casio regional websites and authorized retailers for local availability updates in the coming weeks.
