The wait for DJI's first 360-degree drone might finally be coming to an end. The long-rumored DJI Avata 360, a product that has been the subject of speculation for almost as long as the Osmo Pocket 4, has re-emerged in a significant way through two separate leaks, offering the clearest look yet at the device.
In the most revealing leak to date, the Portuguese outlet Xdrones Studio shared a hands-on photo of the Avata 360 itself, prominently displayed in front of its retail box. The image, shared on February 26, 2026, provides the best look yet at DJI's first foray into consumer 360-degree FPV drones.

The photo confirms a key design detail: the Avata 360 retains the ability to rotate its camera housing, allowing it to capture traditional first-person view (FPV) footage, much like its predecessor, the DJI Avata 2, which is currently available for around $719 on Amazon. This is a notable differentiator from competitors like the Antigravity A1, which lacks FPV capabilities.
Adding fuel to the fire, a Reddit user spotted a listing for the Avata 360 on Facebook Marketplace. While the listing itself didn't show the drone, the provided images of the retail box perfectly match the design seen in the Xdrones Studio leak, adding a layer of credibility to the authenticity of the photos.

These dual sightings have reignited speculation about the drone's release timeline. Prominent leakers, including Jasper Ellens, now believe the Avata 360 will be unveiled in China as soon as next month. Rumors suggest the drone will carry a starting price of approximately CNY 2,988, which converts to roughly $435. If these whispers hold true, a global launch could follow in early April, finally bringing 360-degree capture to DJI's FPV lineup.
