| The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 in the flesh. |
The wait for DJI's next-generation vlogging camera appears to be nearly over. Fresh from a flurry of leaks, the first extended hands-on footage of what is claimed to be the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 has surfaced online, giving us our clearest look yet at its final design and a surprising new feature.
While DJI remains officially silent on the matter, the evidence is mounting. The latest video, shared initially by Malaysian retailer Drones Kaki, shows an unidentified individual unboxing and testing the device. You can view the original clip that sparked the latest wave of speculation here:

As spotted by the tech blog The New Camera, the footage aligns perfectly with earlier CAD renders and regulatory filings. This consistency suggests we are looking at the production-ready model. The video's authenticity is further bolstered by a new post from Portuguese tech enthusiast Xdrones Studio, who shared the clip with the caption "DJI Pocket 4 em todo o seu esplendor" (DJI Pocket 4 in all its splendor).
A New Look at the Hardware
The most significant revelation from the footage is the integration of a multi-axis LED fill light. Unlike the optional accessories for the current model, this light is built directly into the body. It appears to be mounted on a small, articulated arm with two hinges—one behind the light itself and another at its base—allowing for flexible positioning to illuminate your subject evenly, a game-changer for low-light vlogging.
The video also confirms the addition of extra physical controls, hinted at in prior leaks, which should make one-handed operation more intuitive than on the touchscreen-reliant DJI Osmo Pocket 3 (currently $439 on Amazon).
Software Smarts: Hello 'SuperPhoto'
Beyond the hardware, the on-screen interface in the leaked clip teases a new software capability: 'SuperPhoto'. This mode shares its name with a long-standing feature from GoPro. If DJI's implementation is similar, the camera will intelligently analyze the scene—detecting subjects like landscapes, portraits, or low-light environments—and automatically apply the optimal image processing pipeline to enhance the final shot. This suggests DJI is focusing heavily on computational photography to make professional-looking results more accessible.
Two Models on the Horizon?
The leaks also point to the possibility of two variants: a standard Osmo Pocket 4 and a more advanced Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. While the video showcases the base model, it's expected that the Pro version could offer features like a larger sensor or advanced tracking capabilities, building on the foundation of its predecessor.
With a physical product now in the hands of the public, an official announcement from DJI feels imminent. The consistent stream of leaks from retailers and enthusiasts across the globe suggests that the launch is not just planned, but that units are already in the distribution channel.
For now, all eyes are on DJI. Given the pace of these revelations, an official unveiling could happen within days rather than weeks. You can follow the latest updates and community discussions on X (formerly Twitter) here:
