Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Shows It Crushing the iPhone 17 Pro Max in Latest Benchmarks

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has once again graced Geekbench 6 with better-than-ever scores.

In the high-stakes world of flagship smartphones, the benchmark wars are heating up just in time for Unpacked. With less than a week to go until its official unveiling, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has just posted its most impressive scores yet on Geekbench, and the numbers are staggering.

According to the latest database entries spotted by the tech community, the upcoming device—powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2—has officially pulled ahead of its biggest rival, the Apple A19 Pro-powered iPhone 17 Pro Max, by a significant margin.

A 19% Leap Over Apple

The new listing, which you can view directly on the Geekbench 6 browser page, shows the Galaxy S26 Ultra achieving a massive multi-core score of 11,738 and a single-core score of 3,852.

To put that into perspective, that multi-core result beats Apple’s latest silicon by a whopping 19.36% . While the single-core performance remains neck-and-neck with the A19 Pro (a testament to Apple’s core architecture), the Ultra’s ability to handle heavy multitasking and complex rendering workloads leaves the iPhone in the dust.

The "For Galaxy" Advantage is Real

It is no secret that Samsung reserves the best version of Qualcomm’s chips for its Ultra models. This latest leak confirms that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 "For Galaxy" is flexing its muscles with higher clock speeds on its Performance cores (P-cores).

These scores aren't just beating Cupertino; they are setting a new bar for the Android ecosystem as a whole. Compared to the already-speedy Galaxy S25 Ultra, the S26 Ultra shows generational leaps of 24% in single-core and a staggering 33% in multi-core performance. For users upgrading from a device that is two or three years old, this level of raw power will feel instantaneous.

What Else to Expect on February 25th

Samsung is scheduled to host its first major Unpacked event of the year on February 25th. While the S26 Ultra will undoubtedly be the star of the show, the company is expected to drop a host of new accessories, including new Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds Pro.

According to insights aggregated by Wccftech, the device isn't just about raw speed. It is expected to introduce a "Privacy Display" that physically narrows the viewing angle to discourage "peepers" in public spaces, a substantial 5,200 mAh battery to fuel that high-performance chip, and modest but meaningful camera upgrades to maintain its throne in mobile photography.

The Competition is Feeling the Heat

With the Pixel 10 Pro (currently retailing at a discounted rate of $1,099 on Amazon ) and the iPhone 17 Pro Max already on the market, Samsung is entering the ring late—but with a knockout punch.

The combination of unrivaled benchmark scores and Samsung's proven track record of camera excellence suggests that the S26 Ultra will be the device to beat in 2026. As one leaker noted, Qualcomm’s silicon and Samsung’s thermal management seem to have finally hit the perfect stride.

We won't have to wait long to see if these synthetic scores translate to real-world dominance. Stay tuned for our full coverage of the Unpacked event later this month.
