The Flashpoint update for ARC Raiders will be released on March 31.

In a move that demonstrates a keen ear for community feedback, Embark Studios has unleashed the Flashpoint update for ARC Raiders. Arriving today, March 31, 2026, this major content drop goes beyond simply adding new weapons and cosmetics; it fundamentally alters how players approach the loot economy, engage with threats, and manage their gear between raids.

Described as the third major update in the developer’s roadmap, Flashpoint introduces a new category of map conditions called ARC Operations, a complete convenience overhaul for the crafting system, and a host of new dangers that promise to keep even the most seasoned raiders on their toes.

A New Kind of Raid: ARC Operations & The Assessor

One of the most exciting additions in the update is the new “ARC Operations” category. The first of these major map conditions, called “Close Scrutiny,” significantly changes the flow of a match. According to details from the official development team, this condition results in less regular loot scattered across the map. However, high-risk takers are rewarded: players can hunt down a particularly powerful ARC target known as the Assessor, which promises valuable rewards.

Of course, such a high-value target doesn’t come without a fight. The Assessor is accompanied by strong ARC patrols and a terrifying new flying enemy type called the Vaporizer. Known for devastating laser attacks and idiosyncratic attack patterns, the Vaporizer adds a new layer of aerial danger. According to Embark, the operation is specifically aimed at well-equipped raiders looking for a challenge beyond the standard extraction loop.

Quality of Life: Crafting Gets a Major Overhaul

While new enemies are exciting, the Flashpoint update’s most praised change might be its approach to inventory management. ARC Raiders has significantly improved its crafting system, addressing one of the most common player pain points.

Missing materials can now be replenished more directly. When you lack a required component, the game displays a comprehensive overview from which materials can be recycled, refined, or purchased without diving through multiple menus. Embark emphasizes that this should allow players to spend less time in menus and more time in raids, a quality-of-life improvement that the community has been clamoring for since launch.

New Arsenal and Threats

Of course, no major update would be complete without new gear to test against the new threats. The Flashpoint update introduces two new weapons: the Canto SMG, a close-quarters bullet hose that uses medium ammunition, and the Dolabra energy shotgun, a high-energy variable-focus weapon capable of punching through ARC armor plating at close range with either a wide burst or a focused funnel of electricity.

Players also gain access to a new gadget called the Surge Coil, which can electrify surroundings, and a new project called the High Gain Antenna, tasking raiders with helping Celeste and Shani get an “eye in the sky.”

The relationship with the fan-favorite Scrappy also deepens. The new Scrappy Feeding Boost allows players to influence the rooster’s loot behavior by feeding him particular items. Additionally, players should watch their backs; Spreading Shredders are now a new threat appearing in key battlegrounds like Blue Gate, Buried City, and Spaceport during specific map conditions.

Embark Continues to Win Over the Community

Reactions in the community threads about the update are clearly positive. The crafting improvements, in particular, are being widely praised. One much-noticed comment in the ARC Raiders subreddit simply described the changes as “fantastic.” The new Scrappy feature, as well as the increased threat from new enemies and map conditions, have also been well received.

The mix of new content, added threats, and noticeable quality-of-life improvements appears to be resonating well with the player base. With the Flashpoint update, all signs suggest that ARC Raiders is set to stay on course—not least thanks to a development team that clearly listens to community feedback and takes player requests seriously.
