Ayaneo Announces Major Product Lineup Changes: Price Hikes and Discontinuations Hit Popular Handhelds

The Konkr Pocket Fit is among the affected devices.

The handheld gaming market has faced significant turbulence over the past few weeks, with manufacturers scrambling to adjust to rising component costs. Some companies have raised prices, others have paused production, and now Ayaneo is delivering a sobering update that affects multiple devices across its portfolio. In a statement issued via its official Discord channel, the company confirmed impending price increases and revealed that several models will be discontinued once current inventory runs out.

Multiple Ayaneo Handhelds Facing Immediate Changes

The news comes as part of a broader industry trend, but Ayaneo's announcement is particularly sweeping in scope. According to the Discord post, customers should expect price hikes on several products in the coming weeks. More notably, some recently released models will not see additional production runs once existing stock is depleted.

For those looking to secure any of these devices before they disappear, check the official Ayaneo product page for current availability and pricing updates.

Limited Stock Remains

The Pocket Vert has had an unusual journey to market. Initially revealed in late July 2025, the device wasn't available for pre-order on Indiegogo until late December. The crowdfunding campaign wrapped up earlier than anticipated, with sales shifting to Ayaneo's direct website. Now, the company states that only limited stock remains available, and no new units will be produced once that supply is exhausted.

Similarly, the Pocket S Mini faces an abrupt end to its lifecycle. First announced in September 2025, the handheld didn't launch until late January 2026—making it available for purchase for roughly two months before this discontinuation notice. Like the Pocket Vert, no new production is planned, and interested buyers will need to act quickly to secure one of the remaining units.

Adding to the complexity for Pocket S Mini owners, Ayaneo confirmed that the complimentary Pocket Air Mini being offered as compensation for reduced battery capacity will only be available until Wednesday, April 1. Customers who haven't claimed their compensation should do so before that deadline.

Pocket DS Faces Production Uncertainty

The dual-screen Pocket DS, which runs on Android and first became available for pre-order in August 2025, is currently accepting another batch of pre-orders. Ayaneo indicates that approximately 200 units remain in this batch, with shipping scheduled for mid-April. However, the company expresses uncertainty about whether additional units will be produced after this batch sells out, leaving the device's long-term availability in question.

Konkr Lineup Sees Major Restrictions

Ayaneo's new affordable Konkr line is also experiencing significant disruptions. The Konkr Pocket Fit, which launched as the first product under this sub-brand, was announced in two variants: one powered by a Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 and another featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite. While the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 version has already shipped to customers, the Snapdragon 8 Elite variant faced delays and has only recently begun shipping to backers.

According to Ayaneo's statement, once all orders for the Snapdragon 8 Elite version are fulfilled, the handhelds will be relaunched in phases. As of now, the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 version is no longer available for purchase on the company's website.

The newly launched Konkr Fit, which marks the brand's first Windows-powered handheld, is facing severe production limitations. Initially announced with a limited run of just 200 units available for pre-order, Ayaneo now states that production will be based on actual order volume and will remain extremely limited. Pre-orders are currently open, with shipping expected to begin at the end of April.

What About Other Ayaneo Handhelds?

Ayaneo's announcement did not address all of its current products. The company provided no specific details regarding the Pocket Air Mini or the Pocket DMG. However, industry observers note that these models may still be subject to price increases in the near future as component costs continue to rise.

For those interested in the Pocket Air Mini, it remains available through third-party retailers. You can find it on Amazon.

Industry-Wide Trend of Rising Costs

Ayaneo's announcement reflects a broader pattern across the handheld gaming sector. Multiple manufacturers have cited rising component costs as the primary driver behind recent pricing adjustments and production changes. The situation appears to be affecting both newly released devices and established models, with no immediate signs of relief on the horizon.

Bottom Line for Consumers

For enthusiasts and potential buyers, the message is clear: availability for several popular Ayaneo models is becoming increasingly uncertain. Those who have been considering a purchase may want to act sooner rather than later, particularly for devices like the Pocket Vert, Pocket S Mini, and the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 version of the Konkr Pocket Fit.

With production uncertainties continuing to mount and price increases on the horizon, Ayaneo's product lineup appears to be in a state of significant transition. Whether these changes represent a temporary adjustment or a longer-term shift in the company's strategy remains to be seen, but for now, inventory is shrinking across multiple product lines.
