The Oclip Pro S offers RGB light in addition to floodlight and spotlight functions.

Olight has built a strong reputation for blending durability with innovation in the EDC (everyday carry) space, and their latest release is no exception. The company recently unveiled the Oclip Pro S, a new iteration of their popular clip-on flashlight series that significantly expands the utility of the compact tool.

While the original Oclip models were praised for their hands-free convenience and robust white light output, the Pro S version introduces a trifecta of lighting sources. The standout upgrade is the integration of RGB lighting. This isn’t just for aesthetics; the system allows users to illuminate in solid red, green, or blue, or cycle through dynamic color modes. This functionality transforms the small device into a versatile alert system, ideal for signaling in emergencies, marking campsites in the dark, or adding a layer of visibility for nighttime safety.

Beyond the RGB capabilities, the Oclip Pro S is a true multi-tool. It retains a powerful 600-lumen white light capable of reaching up to 80 meters, suitable for tasks ranging from mechanical work to light outdoor navigation. Additionally, it now includes a dedicated UV light, expanding its utility to practical applications such as detecting counterfeit bills, verifying cleanliness, or even finding pet stains on carpet.

The user interface remains intuitive, staying true to the Oclip family DNA. A side dial allows users to seamlessly switch between the three primary light sources: White, RGB, and UV. Once the RGB mode is selected, a quick double-press of the built-in button cycles through the various color and pattern modes, offering flexibility without a complicated menu system.

In terms of ergonomics, the Oclip Pro S maintains the footprint of its predecessor. Weighing in at just 53 grams (1.87 oz), it retains the same sturdy design with a robust clip and magnetic mount, ensuring it can be attached to a hat brim, a backpack strap, or any metal surface for hands-free operation.

Battery Life and Availability

Powering the device is a non-removable 2,146 Wh battery, charged via a USB-C port. However, the runtime varies dramatically depending on the chosen light source. For white light purists, Olight claims an impressive 144 hours in moonlight mode. For those needing high intensity, the 600-lumen turbo mode is designed for short bursts—lasting one minute before stepping down to 300 lumens for sustained use.

For users excited about the new RGB features, battery performance varies by color efficiency. On a single charge, the blue LED offers up to 9 hours of runtime at 3 lumens. In contrast, the green and red LEDs are significantly more efficient, providing up to 26 hours of operation (at 10 lumens for green and 4 lumens for red).

For those interested in adding this versatile tool to their gear, you can find the full specifications and product details on the official Olight store page here.

Pricing and Release Date

The Oclip Pro S is positioned as an accessible upgrade, priced at roughly $40. It is scheduled to become available starting March 24, 2026. Olight is launching the model in seven distinct variants to cater to different tastes. Buyers can opt for the understated utility of the plain black or signal orange finishes, or choose from five additional variants featuring decorative patterns and character graphics.

With its blend of white light utility, RGB safety features, and UV functionality, the Oclip Pro S appears to be a significant step forward for compact EDC lighting, offering users a "swiss army knife" of illumination in a pocket-friendly package.
