The boutique tech brand, known for its premium retro-inspired gaming devices and compact computers, has just announced that four of its most sought-after products will soon see price increases. And unlike previous adjustments that only affected the Chinese market, this time the hikes are coming to global inventory.
In a candid post on its official Discord channel, Ayaneo warned that stock levels are “running very low” on several key devices. Some models have already sold out entirely. For the ones still available, the company is urging prospective buyers to act fast before the higher prices take effect.
“Due to increased demand and very limited remaining inventory, we have confirmed price increases for the following products,” Ayaneo wrote in its Discord announcement. “We recommend purchasing them at current prices while they are still available.”
The four devices slated for price hikes are the Pocket Vert, Pocket S Mini, Mini PC AM03, and Mini PC AM01S – a lineup that covers both handheld emulation fans and desktop power users.
Pocket Vert and Pocket S Mini: Retro Handhelds Get More Expensive
Ayaneo’s Pocket Vert has carved out a niche among fans of vertical form-factor handhelds, reminiscent of classic Game Boy designs but with modern internals. Two configurations remain in stock:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – currently $269
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage – currently $349
The Pocket S Mini, a smaller sibling to the original Pocket S, starts at $319 for the 8GB/128GB model, while the 12GB/256GB version goes for $399. Notably, the 16GB RAM + 512GB variant is no longer available at any price – it has sold out completely.
Ayaneo also confirmed that it has discontinued a previous promotion that offered a free Pocket Air Mini as compensation for the reduced battery capacity on the Pocket S Mini. New buyers should not expect that deal to return.
Mini PCs Hit by Price Creep: AM03 and AM01S
For those who prefer desktop computing in a tiny, stylish package, the Mini PC AM03 and AM01S are facing their own increases.
The AM03 barebones model (no RAM or storage) starts at $399, while the pre-configured version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is currently $499.
The AM01S – particularly beloved for its retro Macintosh-inspired design – is now only available in the B.Duck edition (a bright yellow collaboration with the popular character brand). Pricing sits at $399 for the barebones unit and $549 for the 32GB RAM + 1TB variant. The more subdued Retro White version, which many fans preferred, has been discontinued for both configurations.

While Ayaneo didn’t specify exact percentage increases, industry observers note that boutique handheld makers are particularly vulnerable to fluctuations in display panels, batteries, and memory chips – all of which have seen cost volatility in recent months. Unlike massive manufacturers like ASUS or Lenovo, Ayaneo produces in smaller batches, leaving less room to absorb rising expenses.

Amid all the price hike news, Ayaneo took a moment to remind customers that pre-orders remain open for its upcoming Windows handheld, the Konkr Fit. This device targets a higher-end market segment, with specs that rival gaming laptops:
- Base model ($999): AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage
- Top-tier model ($1,299): AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, 32GB RAM, 1TB storage
The Konkr Fit is not affected by the current inventory crunch – it’s still in pre-order phase, meaning Ayaneo is likely manufacturing fresh units rather than drawing from limited stock.
