Pawprint Studio has rolled out a fresh follow-up update for Aniimo, the free-to-play open-world creature collector, shortly after the game’s global debut on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. This patch is all about cleanup: it tackles visual rendering glitches, removes several quest progression blockers, and tunes the rules for wild Prismana spawning.

Visual glitches and story quest fixes

One of the biggest fixes addresses a graphics issue that some players ran into on certain GPU configurations. Instead of a normal display, they could get a full red screen error or see abnormally red eyes on characters. That bug should now be sorted.

The update also resolves a terrain problem during the story quest “The Land Where Dreams Come True.” While collecting Butterfly Shadows, the ground could occasionally become impassable, which blocked quest progress completely. Pawprint has fixed that as well.

There’s also a fix for a softlock affecting the Unstuck command during two-player Sanctum mechanisms. In the story quest “Another Departure,” overlapping interface text has been corrected, along with an inaccurate objective description. The patch also locks in fixes for Quick Twine and multiple forms being unable to take part in the Susuta and Dr Glass challenges. Elsewhere, incorrect item source text in the Stamp Shop has been corrected, and the description for the Pathfinder’s Aeroboard skill is now accurate.

Smaller visual cleanups

A handful of smaller visual corrections round out the patch. Crossover event decorations that were floating in midair in Astra have been fixed. Abnormal chimney wind field displays in Nimbus Fields are no longer an issue. A display glitch affecting Companion Handbook EXP on the Monthly Pass make-up check-in screen has been resolved. Incorrect asset references in quest cutscenes have also been corrected.

Prismana respawns and quality-of-life tweaks

The patch makes a notable change to wild encounter mechanics for rare creatures. When Lucky Strike fills Prismatic Energy to its maximum, Prismana Aniimo in the active area now respawn immediately. For collectors hunting rare creatures, that should cut down on waiting around.

Several quality-of-life adjustments are included too. Auto Voice in the chat settings is now disabled by default. The item type required to evolve Squarrel has been changed. Unreachable chest locations have been adjusted. Pawprint also reduced the default number of marks strangers share in the Settings menu, adjusted the conditions for obtaining the Tilling Chest, and removed error notification mail for common Aniipods to help cut down on inbox clutter. The items those Aniipods return are unaffected.

Final thoughts

This Aniimo update may not be a massive content drop, but it goes after several pain points that could ruin a session—especially the red screen bug and quest-blocking terrain issue. With Prismana respawns improved and a long list of smaller fixes, Pawprint Studio is clearly focused on smoothing out the experience for new and returning players alike.
