HoYoverse has officially launched Honkai: Star Rail version 4.6, titled "Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise," across PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The update went live on September 28, 2026, and will run for just over six weeks, wrapping up on November 10. This patch continues the Planarcadia storyline, introduces a brand-new five-star character named Pearl, adds two fresh outfits, and confirms an exciting hardware collaboration with Razer.
Maintenance Compensation and Server Downtime
Before the update could go live, servers went offline for a scheduled maintenance window of roughly five hours. As a thank-you for their patience, players who reached Trailblaze Level 4 or higher before maintenance began will find 300 Stellar Jades waiting in their in-game mailbox. It's a small but welcome boost for anyone looking to pull on the new banners.
Pearl Joins the Roster as a Sustain-Focused Support
The headline addition in version 4.6 is Pearl, a five-star Ice character who follows the Path of Elation and serves as the CEO of Planarcadia. In combat, she can consume a unique resource called Certified Banger to offset damage for all allies, positioning her as a sustain-focused support for Elation teams. Her banner, along with her signature Light Cone, Colors for Tomorrow, remains available for the entire version.
For those planning their pulls, here's what to expect: Evanescia, a five-star Physical Elation character, returns in the first half. Mortenax Blade, a five-star Fire Nihility character, makes his comeback on October 21. Meanwhile, Qingque, Xueyi, and Misha are the boosted four-star characters across every banner this patch.

Story Continues with a Sinister Scheme at the Life Sciences Institute
The main story picks up right after Nihilux revealed herself as Aha, the Aeon of Elation. The Trailblazer and Pearl head into the Life Sciences Institute deep within Astropolis to uncover a scheme to weaponize the husk. The institute was built under Madam Yabuli, head of the IPC's Technology Department, who is pushing the plan at the cost of every life in Planarcadia and is suspected of ties to a faction that worships the Voracity.
Beyond the main quest, Honkai: Star Rail also adds several events, including Love, Ghosts & Robots and Interastral Peace Gala: One Take, plus a new Astral Imagea gameplay feature that should give players plenty to do between story beats.
New Outfits and Razer Collaboration Announced
Fashion fans have something to look forward to as well. Hyacine's Warm Cotton Skies outfit and Evanescia's Lunar Blossoming outfit arrive together in the Outfit Show Window, giving both characters a fresh look for the season.
HoYoverse also announced a Razer collaboration built around Silver Wolf LV.999. The partnership includes a gaming chair, keyboard, mouse, and headset planned for release across multiple regions, with more details still to come.
Finally, in a crossover that's sure to excite fans, Ellen and Astra Yao from Zenless Zone Zero are confirmed to join Honkai: Star Rail in version 4.8.
