Dragami Games has confirmed that its still-untitled new entry in the Lollipop Chainsaw series will get its first playable demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The demo will be available during the event’s run from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Fans attending the show will find it at the SEGA/ATLUS booth, inside the dedicated Sega Partners Corner.
This is a major moment for the series. The game was first teased in July 2025 alongside a companion anime adaptation, developed in partnership with Taiwan-based Nada Holdings. Until now, however, Dragami Games has kept most details under wraps. Tokyo Game Show 2026 will mark the first time the public can actually go hands-on with the new entry.
For the latest official details, Dragami Games has been pointing fans to its official topics page, while the publisher also shared the booth news through its official X account. Those looking for future updates can keep an eye on the official Dragami Games website, which remains the main hub for announcements. The publisher’s official site is also where any last-minute TGS scheduling changes or additional event information are likely to appear.
Four demo stations and a redesigned Juliet
Attendees will have four demo stations to choose from on the show floor throughout the event. That should give more fans a chance to try the game without waiting in an impossibly long line—though, given the series’ cult following, some queues are probably still inevitable.
Protagonist Juliet Starling is returning, but she will sport a redesigned outfit for the occasion. The booth will also include a life-size chainsaw display as part of its photo area, giving fans a suitably over-the-top backdrop for pictures. Official ambassador and cosplayer PeachMilky will appear at the booth wearing Juliet’s new costume, offering an early in-person look at the redesign.
There are also booth rewards. Anyone who completes the hands-on demo will receive an exclusive keychain. All booth visitors can pick up promotional logo stickers while supplies last, whether or not they try the demo itself. That means even fans who just want to soak in the atmosphere and snap photos can walk away with something.
Stage events could bring a major announcement
Dragami Games has scheduled two stage events tied to the reveal. The first is a 30-minute session at the SEGA/ATLUS booth stage on September 18 at 11:40 a.m. JST. It will introduce the development team and share behind-the-scenes details about the project so far.
The second is a longer 50-minute showcase on the TGS 2026 main stage on September 19 at 9:40 a.m. JST. It will feature director Mr. Nasu and JP Universe CEO Hajime Tabata. That session is expected to include a major project announcement, though Dragami Games has not detailed what it will cover. Naturally, that has fueled speculation among fans, especially with so many key details still missing.
What we still don’t know
Heading into Tokyo Game Show 2026, the game’s official title and release platforms remain unconfirmed. Neither original director Goichi Suda nor developer Grasshopper Manufacture is attached to the project. That doesn’t mean the new entry can’t carve out its own identity, but it does make the TGS showcase more important. Fans will be watching closely to see who is leading the game, what platforms it will target, and how it will connect to the Lollipop Chainsaw legacy.
With the biggest specifics still under wraps, Tokyo Game Show 2026 looks set to answer far more questions than Dragami Games has revealed so far. Between the first playable demo, Juliet’s new look, PeachMilky’s appearance, and a stage event promising a major announcement, this is shaping up to be the moment the still-untitled project finally starts to come into focus.
