Thunderobot is making waves in the compact computing market once again, returning to AMD’s highly anticipated Strix Halo platform with a brand-new desktop solution. Following the recent debut of the AI Master M7000 laptop—which packed the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and up to 64 GB of RAM—the company has shifted gears to deliver a formidable desktop workstation.
Meet the Station Series AI Workstation. This new mini-PC arrives in a sleek, 2-liter chassis that adopts a taller form factor compared to the company's previous "AI Mini Workstation." The design philosophy bears a striking resemblance to high-performance barebones systems like the Minisforum MS-S1 Max, which we reviewed nearly a year ago. Engineered for Performance and Cooling
Thunderobot has prioritized thermal efficiency in this design. According to the company, the Station Series AI Workstation utilizes an aluminium alloy frame housing three fans and four heat pipes. This robust cooling setup allows the mini-PC to extract up to 132 W of power from the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor.
The hardware capabilities are equally impressive for a machine of this size. The system supports up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, a massive amount of memory that allows users to assign up to 96 GB as VRAM—a crucial feature for running large local AI models and handling intense graphical workloads.
Storage, Pricing, and Availability
Out of the box, Thunderobot includes 1 TB of storage, but the device is built for expansion. Users will find two additional spare M.2 slots, making it easy to upgrade storage capacity down the line. The Station Series AI Workstation is currently retailing for CNY 26,999 (approximately $4,022) in the Chinese market, though a promotional discount brings the price down to CNY 25,499 (roughly $3,799) for a limited time.
While a model featuring the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 is rumored to be in the works, there is currently no confirmation on whether the Station Series will see a release outside of China.
Connectivity and Ports
For users who need high-speed networking and peripheral support, the Station Series does not disappoint. It comes standard with Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7. The port selection is extensive, featuring:

- Networking: 2x RJ45 Ethernet (10 GbE)
