Citizen's Luke Skywalker Jedi Master Watch Finally Lands in the UK at £299

UK buyers can order the AW1910-48W from Citizen’s online store for £299 as a box set with a five-year guarantee.

Star Wars fans in Britain can now get their hands on Citizen's glow-in-the-dark Luke Skywalker tribute without importing from the States — and it's cheaper than the US launch price.

If you've been eyeing Citizen's Star Wars collaborations from across the Atlantic, the wait is over. The Japanese watchmaker has brought its Luke Skywalker Jedi Master watch to the UK, where it's priced at £299 through the company's official online store. The model, reference AW1910-48W, arrives as a box set and is covered by Citizen's five-year guarantee.

A dial built for Jedi (and low-light missions)

The first thing that grabs you is the dial. Citizen has set a silhouette of Luke Skywalker over green geometric sweeps on a black base, with the Rebel Alliance starbird sitting proudly at 12 o'clock. The real party trick, though, is at 11 o'clock: a green lightsaber forms part of the luminous marker, and it glows in the dark alongside the hands and the remaining hour markers.

It's a clever bit of design that nods to the character without turning the watch into a toy. Around the dial sits a 43mm polished silver-tone stainless steel case, framed by a dark green and black bezel that ties the whole colour scheme together.

A green glow-in-the-dark lightsaber doubles as the 11 o’clock marker, below the Rebel Alliance starbird at 12.
Eco-Drive means no battery swaps

Under the hood, Citizen has fitted its J810 Eco-Drive movement, which charges from natural or artificial light. In plain English: you won't be hunting for a jeweller to replace a battery every couple of years. The watch runs a simple three-hand layout with a date window at 3 o'clock, sits under a mineral crystal, and carries a 100m water resistance rating. Citizen's UK site lists it as suitable for swimming, showering, and snorkeling — so it'll survive more than a trip to the shops.

The strap is black leather with green stitching and a green lining, fastened by a pin buckle. Flip it over and the stainless steel caseback is engraved with "I am a Jedi like my father before me" — the line Luke delivers in Return of the Jedi. It's the kind of detail that'll make you smile every time you take it off.

Collector's box and enamel pin included

As with the US release, the UK box set ships in Star Wars-branded collector's packaging printed with "May the Force be with you", and it includes a commemorative Luke Skywalker enamel pin. For anyone who keeps their watch boxes (guilty), this one is worth holding onto.

Pricing: better than the US?

The UK price of £299 looks sharper than the US launch. The watch debuted in the US in August at $495, though it's currently discounted to around $337. It arrived a month after Citizen introduced its Imperial Battle watch, and it joins a steadily growing line of Star Wars collaborations from the watchmaker.

If you want to check availability or grab one directly, you can find the Luke Skywalker Jedi Master watch on the Citizen UK official store. It's also worth keeping an eye on Amazon, where Star Wars Citizen models occasionally pop up — you can check current listings here.

The verdict

At £299, this isn't an impulse buy, but it's a genuinely wearable piece of Star Wars memorabilia rather than a display-only collectible. The Eco-Drive movement, 100m water resistance, and subtle-ish dial mean it works as an everyday watch — and the glowing lightsaber is a nice conversation starter for anyone who notices. May the Force be with your wrist.
