| A new WIN Key on the lower frame tunes vibration and touch response in three steps and controls five lighting modes |
Honor is giving mobile gamers something they've been asking for: a physical button that handles game tweaks without forcing them to dive into settings menus. The company has confirmed that its upcoming Honor WIN 2 series will ship with a dedicated "WIN Key" — a side-mounted button that lets players adjust vibration strength, touch sensitivity, and lighting effects mid-game.
The reveal came via a teaser posted on Weibo ahead of the series' launch in China on October 21, 2026. You can check out the original post here: Honor's official Weibo teaser.
What Does the WIN Key Actually Do?
According to Honor, the WIN Key sits on the lower section of the phone's side frame. It offers three adjustable levels for haptic feedback and three levels for touch response sensitivity — low, moderate, and high — so players can tweak their setup without ever leaving the game. That's a genuinely useful feature for competitive mobile gamers who don't want to break focus.
The same button also cycles through five lighting-effect modes, and Honor says players can remap it to in-game controls and even create custom vibration patterns. In other words, it's not just a shortcut — it's a fully customizable input.
Huawei Central notes that if Honor also includes its AI camera button, the WIN 2 phones would end up with four physical keys in total.

| The flagship WIN 2 posts a claimed 5,702,964 AnTuTu score, ahead of the RedMagic 12 Pro+ |
Honor and display maker Visionox have confirmed that every WIN 2 model will feature a 2K panel with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz — a world first, according to Honor. The company claims the 185Hz mode works across more than 40 mainstream games.
The screen also packs some serious specs:
- 5,920Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain
- 5,000Hz touch sampling rate
- 520Hz reporting rate for ten-finger input
- TÜV Rheinland's Global Eye Protection 6.0 and flicker-free certifications
Three Models, One Aggressive Cooling System
The lineup breaks down into the standard WIN 2, the WIN RT 2, and the WIN Turbo 2. Honor has shared the most detail on the base WIN 2, which runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and uses what the company calls the industry's first 3D dual-fan cooling system.
Each fan spins at up to 31,000 RPM, and Honor claims the setup can drop the phone's temperature by 10°C in just 50 seconds. The system has also earned an SGS certificate for full-area heat dissipation.
Honor has even published an AnTuTu score of 5,702,964 points for the WIN 2 — a number that puts it firmly in flagship territory.

The WIN RT 2 is confirmed to carry a massive 12,070mAh battery, which is 1,970mAh more than the flagship model. Official images show a relatively slim mid-frame, a redesigned camera island, and two rear cameras.
Pre-orders for the WIN 2 series are already open in China ahead of the October 21 launch, where Honor will also unveil its WIN Tablet.
Why This Matters
Dedicated gaming buttons aren't new — we've seen them on devices like the ROG Phone series — but Honor's approach here is interesting because it ties the button directly to haptics and touch sensitivity rather than just acting as a trigger. For mobile gamers who take competitive titles seriously, having that level of control at their fingertips without menu-diving could be a real differentiator.
We'll know more once the phones officially launch on October 21. For now, the WIN 2 series is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing gaming phone launches of the year.
