| The Motorola Moto G47 Power primarily offers a larger battery than the older Moto G47. |
Motorola appears to be preparing a new budget-friendly smartphone that could redefine battery life expectations in the mid-range segment. According to a recent leak, the upcoming Moto G47 Power will pack a massive 7,000 mAh battery alongside a 108 MP main camera—all at an affordable price point.
Design and Display
The leaked renders, shared by tipster @Sudhanshu1414 on X, reveal that the Moto G47 Power looks nearly identical to the standard Moto G47 available on Amazon. The device features a 6.67-inch LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, though it only offers a 1,604 x 720 pixel resolution. The phone measures 166 x 77 x 9mm, making it about a millimeter thicker than its non-Power sibling due to the larger battery.
Battery: The Star of the Show
The headline feature here is undoubtedly the battery. While the marketing materials tout a 7,000 mAh capacity, the EU energy label reportedly lists the actual rated capacity at 6,790 mAh. Either way, this represents a significant jump from the 5,200 mAh battery found in the regular Moto G47. The device supports 30W fast charging, which should help top up that massive cell reasonably quickly.
Camera and Performance
Photography duties fall to a 108 MP main sensor, accompanied by a 2 MP macro camera—a somewhat modest secondary setup. For selfies, there's an 8 MP front-facing camera. Under the hood, the Moto G47 Power is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
Software and Durability
The phone is expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box. It carries an IP64 rating, meaning it's protected against rain and splashes but isn't fully waterproof. This is consistent with the standard Moto G47.
Pricing and Availability
According to the leak, the Moto G47 Power will be priced at approximately €270 (around $300) for the 4 GB + 128 GB variant. Since the device has already appeared in the EU's EPREL database, an official launch should be just around the corner.
For budget-conscious consumers who prioritize battery life above all else, the Moto G47 Power could be a compelling option. Stay tuned for official announcements from Motorola regarding availability and regional pricing.
