TAG Heuer’s Red Bull Racing Solargraph Is a Solar-Powered Tribute to a Decade of Speed

TAG Heuer’s Red Bull Racing Solargraph.

TAG Heuer has revealed the Formula 1 Solargraph x Oracle Red Bull Racing, a 38mm special edition that celebrates ten years alongside the Formula 1 team—and it never needs a battery change.

The Swiss watchmaker revived its Formula 1 line as the Solargraph in 2025, and this latest version wraps the same compact platform in Red Bull’s racing colours. It’s priced at $2,250 in the US, with exclusive early online access starting October 20, 2026.

A dial dressed in team colours

The racing connection is immediate. A blue sunray-brushed dial sits inside a red flange carrying the 60-second and minute scales, while a bright yellow central seconds hand supplies the third stripe of Red Bull’s palette. Even the date window at 3 o’clock gets a yellow background.

The black lacquered hands and indexes are filled with Super-LumiNova, which appears white in daylight and glows green in the dark. It’s a small detail, but one that suits a watch built around a team that races at all hours.

The sandblasted stainless steel case measures 38mm across, 10.2mm thick and 42mm from lug to lug—dimensions that should sit comfortably on a wide range of wrists. A blue bidirectional TH-PolyLight bezel tops the case, and a matching sandblasted three-row steel bracelet completes the package. The watch displays hours, minutes, seconds and the date.

Flip it over and the screw-down steel caseback is engraved with the TAG Heuer and Oracle Red Bull Racing logos over a checkered flag pattern. That’s where the team branding lives, keeping the front relatively clean.

Light does the work

Inside is the Calibre TH50-00 Solargraph, a solar quartz movement that draws power from both natural and artificial light. TAG Heuer claims one minute of direct sunlight provides a full day of operation, while a complete charge takes roughly 40 hours of exposure. Once charged, the watch can run for up to ten months in total darkness, and a fully drained example restarts after just 10 seconds of light.

The rechargeable accumulator is designed to last up to 15 years, which effectively removes the usual battery-service ritual from ownership. Other specs include a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and 100 metres (10 bar) of water resistance.

Pricing and availability

The Formula 1 Solargraph x Oracle Red Bull Racing costs $2,250 in the US, €2,200 in Europe, £1,900 in the UK and A$3,350 in Australia. TAG Heuer’s product pages currently list it as coming soon, with exclusive early online access opening on October 20, 2026 at 3 am EDT in the US; opening times vary by region. It ships in dedicated Oracle Red Bull Racing packaging.

The partnership between TAG Heuer and the Red Bull team began in 2016, making this edition a genuine ten-year marker rather than a loose anniversary theme. You can browse the wider collection on the TAG Heuer official US site, or check the dedicated Formula 1 TH50-00 38mm product page for full specifications and regional availability.

Why it matters

Solar-powered watches are having a moment, and TAG Heuer’s decision to fold the technology into a compact, team-branded Formula 1 model makes a certain kind of sense. It’s a watch that nods to motorsport without shouting, and it quietly sidesteps the battery question altogether. For fans of the team—or anyone who likes the idea of a grab-and-go quartz watch with a racing streak—this one is worth watching when it goes live.
