The Xiaomi Power Bank Retractable Cable 10000 55W is now available in China, and it arrives with certification under the country's latest and most stringent battery safety standard.
A New Standard for Safety
The headline feature here isn't just the charging speed—it's the safety certification. The new power bank meets the requirements of GB 47372-2026, a standard that Xiaomi says represents a significant upgrade over previous regulations. The testing regime is notably rigorous, including a 4mm needle penetration test designed to simulate internal short circuits, a 14kN crush test, and exposure to 135°C heat for a full 60 minutes. In each case, the battery must not catch fire or explode.
The new standard also introduces requirements for intelligent battery management. The power bank provides visual battery health information and supports traceability of battery data, giving users more insight into their device's condition over time.
