CES 2020 promises to offer future mobile technology

On January 7, the US city of Las Vegas is preparing to host a new version of the CES 2020 Consumer Electronics Show, the world's largest annual technical event, and plans to launch future smartphones for the first time.

Usually, CES is a platform to offer the next generation of televisions, refrigerators and washing machines. However, according to the new Corey Herald report, the new version will show the emergence of many smartphones.

About 400 Korean technology companies, startups and research institutes registered to participate in the exhibition, led by Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, the largest Korean company ever with its technological capabilities.

According to the Technology Consumers Association, the regulator of CES 2020, U.S. Apple is expected to attend the show for the first time in more than 20 years, although there is no booth to offer its products or services. As part of the Samsung competition in the U.S., Apple's Data Protection Officer will host a conference on consumer safety concerns.

Jane Hovarth, Apple's global data protection chief, will participate in the security debate, as will executives from other technology giants such as Facebook, which marks Apple's first official appearance at CES since 1992, with security a priority.

At the show, some of the lesser-known Chinese smartphone manufacturers could dominate the mobile sector, and the Chinese company OnePlus also announced during the event that it would launch its product called Concept One (future alternative smartphone).

Market observers believe the Concept One will be another foldable smartphone, such as Samsung Galaxy Fold, Motorola Razr and Huawei Mate X, but the Chinese company has not released any details about the new model.

Motorola will unveil its Vertically folded Motorola Razr phone at CES 2020 next month, which will arrive in the US market on January 9. However, Samsung is unlikely to launch a second design for its foldable phone, which includes psoriasis.

The report says Samsung may announce a foldable device and flagship of the Galaxy S11 at another event in February to showcase a new line of mid-range Galaxy phones to emerging markets at CES 2020.

All indications are that Samsung will launch Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite during CES 2020 to compete with Apple XR and Apple iPhone 11. The Lite series is expected to launch in India for the first time in January.
