Apple has released a new update to the Quick Look tool, which allows iPhone and iPad users to preview Augmented Reality products and then buy them directly.

Quick Lock's performance enabled retailers to provide product previews using AR technology by loading flat stickers or 3D product models so buyers can preview the product and see what it looks like in the real world.

TechCrunch Technology website states that retailers can add new augmented reality previews of products, and buyers can use the button to purchase products directly from this page and pay with Apple Pay.

According to the website, some U.S. retailers, including flower and furniture stores, have started supporting Quick Look tools.

Apple released ARKit 2 AR software package in 2018 and launched QuickLock for the first time. However, it can only be used for browsing AR models. If the user wants more information about the product, he should search and complete the purchase on the official website of the retailer.

It is worth noting that Apple has also provided a function that supports the tool (Quick Lock) for surround images on iOS and iPad. This update allows retailers to add surround sound to 3D models.
