| How to use ambient mode on your Android phone |
Android Surrounding announced in November 2019 and can turn your phone into a digital photo frame or music console with Google Smart Assistant.
“The goal of Google Environmental Assistant is to help you get things done faster, anticipate demand and get things done as quickly as possible,” said Google Assistant Product Director at the time of publication.
The functionality was first introduced in Nokia IFA 2019, but it is also now available on One Plus smartphones, Sony Xperia, Transsion, Xiaomi phones as well as Lenovo tablets running Android 8.1 or above.
OnePlus phone goes to surround mode
OnePlus is now working with Google to provide new mode with OnePlus 3 and later, Google Assistant.
Oneplus also provides a quick way to activate the new mode you need to activate to connect your OnePlus device to a charger. Then simply click on the notification and follow the instructions to complete the setup process.
How to enable environmental mode on your Android phone
To activate the new mode, you need to access the Google Assistant app and do the following from there:
- Press the compass icon to access the settings.
- Click on your avatar, then settings and choose Assistant.
- Scroll down and select your phone or tablet.
- Let's continue to customize.
- Activating the environmental situation.
When activated, this mode is activated automatically when the smartphone is connected to the charger.
