Twitter extends its iOS app with functionality for threaded replies

Twitter announced today (Saturday) that Apple's iOS app design for iPhone operators will see more changes to ease discussions.

It looks like the new design is on the Twitter server without having to update the app. It can be run in thread conversations in the timeline to distinguish the original Tweet from associated responses.

This update adds a line between the original tweet and the answer, with a nested answer, and connects them with horizontal and vertical lines. Twitter launched this feature for the first time in the spring of 2019 via its twttr demo application and only displays responses to user contributions.

"The new plan makes it easier to communicate with respondents and their interlocutors so that you can have relevant conversations," Twitter said, indicating that the company plans to make conversations more important with this function.
