The Russian Space Agency was concerned about Elon Musk

The director of the Russian Space Agency accused the American space company, SpaceX, owned by the businessman Elon Musk, of imposing a negative price for the launch of space, which led Russia to reduce the price of space. The Director of the Russian Space Agency raised this issue during his meeting with the Russian President. (Vladimir Putin).

"In their honest competition with the launch of the space market, they are imposing sanctions on us and implementing price-cutting measures with impunity," Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos, wrote on Twitter.

"The space agency (Roscosmos) is working to reduce the price of space services by more than 30% to increase our share in the international market. This is our response to reducing the budget of US companies funded by the United States," he said.

(Rogozin) explained that the market price for the SpaceX launch was $ 60 million, but NASA paid four times the price.

Elon Musk responded to the criticism by posting his official Twitter account. He said: "SpaceX missiles are 80% reusable, while the Russian Space Agency missiles are not reusable. This is a practical problem."

SpaceX plans to use the first reusable Falcon 9 missile next month to send astronauts to the International Space Station, which could reduce the cost of the mission. Last month, Musk announced that the Captain Space Ship (Crew Dragon) capsule would start transporting tourists to the International Space Station next year.

However, Rogozin praised Musk for the successful launch of Crew Dragon last year. He claimed that SpaceX could offer a lower launch rate due to generous funding from the US Department of Defense.

After NASA withdrew its space shuttle in 2011, Russia became the only manned space shuttle. NASA needed $ 70 million per flight to transport US astronauts to the International Space Station.

It should be noted that after Washington announced new sanctions against Moscow, including some aviation industries, in 2014, Rogozin was ridiculed because there was no manned U.S. aviation program that the United States could use trampoline (jumping), transporting astronauts to International Space Station.
