| Samsung works with a well-known manufacturer of protective glass |
A report in South Korea indicated that Samsung decided to use the ultra-thin glass of the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2 smartphone.
The company Dowoo Insys and Schott asked if their Galaxy Z Flip UTG glass was used.
However, Samsung hopes to further reduce production costs by working with Gorilla Corning, the glass manufacturer that most smartphones use on the market today.
According to this report, UTG glass for foldable mobile phones is now planned to be produced next year (Corning). Samsung is said to want to cut production costs, but is not convinced that UTG Glass will increase the weight of the phone.
It should be noted that Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Note 20 in August next year.
